Support
How can we help?
Answers to common questions, and a direct line if you're still stuck.
Still need help?
We usually reply within a day or two.
Account & Family
How do I join my family's household?
Ask an existing member for an invite code from Settings → Invite someone. Enter it when you first sign up, or from Settings if you're already using Shoku solo.
Can I be in more than one household?
You can belong to multiple households and switch between them from the profile menu, but only one is active at a time.
How do I change my name or my household's name?
Neither is self-serve yet — email us and we'll update it for you.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account permanently. This removes your login and any household where you're the only member. If you're not the only member, leave the household first from Manage members.
Pantry, Recipes & AI Suggestions
How does "What can I cook tonight?" work?
Shoku sends the names of your pantry items to an AI model along with any filters you pick (cuisine, dietary needs, meal type, time), and gets back a few recipes built around what you already have.
Are AI-suggested recipes always accurate?
Treat them as a starting point, not a guarantee. Always double-check ingredients against your own allergies and dietary needs before cooking.
Can I import a recipe from a website?
Yes — paste a recipe URL when adding a new recipe and Shoku will pull out the ingredients and steps automatically.
Why does my shopping list already have items I didn't add?
When you save an AI-suggested recipe, Shoku can automatically add whatever ingredients you're missing to your household's shopping list - there's a toggle for this before you save.
Privacy & Security
What is App Lock?
An optional extra layer that requires Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to open Shoku, on top of your normal account sign-in. Turn it on in Settings.
Where can I read the full privacy policy?
See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
